Only the other day, I was wondering around in my room of a sunny afternoon when I came across a note. Intrigued, I picked it up.

‘Only you can save mankind’ it read. Underneath those words were another couple of phases, which made no sense. What was this note? Was I chosen? Can I really save the human race, no, more importantly, can I still save humanity and make it back in time for tea? A barrage of emotions and thoughts spun around in my head. Why me? Am I humanity’s best hope? Where had this note come from?

My mum, as it turned out. It was her book list of books she was planning to borrow from the library. ‘Only you can save mankind’ was a book she was interested in reading. Oh, well…
